Before helping to form neverwas., Mike Cole attended the University of Western Ontario where he was the drummer in a band called The SuperProfessionals.
Mike's major musical influences are based in rock and roll, coming from such bands as Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Boston, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival and many others.
Mike is the primary lyric writer for the band. His inspirations come from all different areas but are mostly based on life experiences and stories that he has been told. He has been writing songs with Terry for about 7 years.
Mike has been playing music for 8 years after teaching himself to play guitar, drums and bass. Currently he is concentrating on playing bass and singing.
Mike uses a Specter 4 string bass guitar with 2 EMG pickups and a 200 watt Yorkville BassMaster amplifier.
